Found the G I want but no Aero...

So I found a local Infiniti dealer with a 6MT that has what I want except the Aero Kit.

Should I try to talk the dealer into puting one on?

Or should I just buy an OEM spoiler and put it on myself?

I would rather have one that has been installed in the factory....

forget the aero package...if you really want a spoiler, go buy an aftermarket one that looks way better...like the data systems one...and for the rear diffusers...totally not worth it...IMO

I talked the dealer into adding an OEM spoiler for an extra $250. I'd have the dealer do it, at least you know it would be covered by the warranty. I had to go back a couple times because they screwed the spoiler in too far the first time and cracked the outside of the spoiler. The second one was perfect, though. It definitely improved the look

Thats a great price you got. Does anyone know what it costs the dealer to order an OEM spoiler?

I was in the same dilema as you about 3 weeks ago. I made it very clear to the dealer that the spoiler was a "must" for me to purchase the car. They ended up including the price of the spoiler and installation into the price of the car.

I disagree about the diffusers; I notice a substantial difference, at high speeds on a windy highway.

i was searching the infiniti site for you but couldn't find it

it's in the brochure for sure, you can grab one off any dealership or request it online if you really want to know what they look like.
pretty much they are mouldings on the underbody to steer the wind in an aerodynamic way.

regarding the aerokit, i think the dealer can install it for you.
i know some options don't let you have certain things, but the dealer can always instal them if they are factory parts (and some aftermarket too if you can find the right dealer).

the performance tire package doesn't allow for it but i had my stock spoiler installed by the dealer for $290 (the one who got it for $250: nice steal!)

Just a warning, if you are getting it from the dealer, they most likely use aftermarket spoilers. Check out Grubbs Infiniti, they sell aftermarket OEM-style on their site as well.

When I got my Spoiler installed by the dealer, he didnt install the diffusers he said they are only for really high speeds 100+ and dont make much of a diff. I didnt know how to respond so I said ummm ok.

The dealer wanted to charge me $400 to install the spoiler. I told them $200 and I would install it and they went for it. The hole templates they give you are pretty hard to work with, really. I found out that at infiniti they have a single piece template so I had them mark the holes for me. It was a sinch.

Spoiler Depot
http://www.spoilerdepot.com/Catalog....MakeTemp=&idB=

These are OEM style spoilers in OEM colors, all that is needed is installation and any body shop can do that if you don't want to do it yourself. MUCH cheaper than anything i've seen.

*edit* oh and it comes with the instructions and mounting hardware and they ship damn fast too.
