order number for an new G35 that start with an R

 

alas, i am an S and waiting until sept for the first month of 04 shipment

 

Dealer called me today and said the car is on the boat and he had the VIN #, too. He said Infiniti expects the car at the dealer on July 25th, however, he said he thinks it may be there a few days sooner - he said the 15th, but I think that's a bit too optomistic. I'm in Birmingham, AL, BTW.

 

That's good news. Atleast one is on it's way.

 

I am negotiating now with dealer in B'ham. If you don't mind me asking, did you get any discount off MSRP. I've got them to move off some, but need more.

 

No, couldn't get them to come down. Just too many people want G35's

 

If you've been able to get ANYTHING off an order, take it. I've been attempting to get my order in since March (was too late for the March 'F' order) and in April, Crown got no allocations for 6-speeds (Q), hence I was pushed into May (R). Later I found out my 'R' order would be the last of the 2003s and I'm paying sticker for the last of the 2003s. I could have bought any of the unsold allocations of 6MTs that they have had since April, but none matched my specs. I talked my salesman yesterday and am trying to get them to throw a few goodies my way, but I'll be lucky just to get the wheel locks thrown in. Good luck negotiating. If you're trying to buy a 6MT and they're willing to come off ANYTHING, take it.

I got 1000 of msrp. played one small dealer against big dealer (who wouldn't budge). Small guy was willing to steal sale done over phone with no headaches. s order, 04

 

dallas infiniti posted they got notice on R orders shipping.

I got a call on Friday from my dealer with the VIN for my car. Of course, it's still in Japan, but supposedly it's on its way over... ETA 7/20 (about 3 weeks)

I just got a call from the dealer.
Apparently, my car is HERE! Like I said above, it's an R order.... Gonna pick it up later tonight... and then bring it home to stick some aluminum pedals in it. :P
