VDC off on start up??

Does anyone know how to make the default setting for the VDC set to off? I hate pushing the button everytime i start the car to turn off the VDC. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
-Mike

You have to buy the kptechnologies module otherwise it resets to the on position everytime you turn the car off.

im just wondering about ppl who want this done. in your daily commute, are you guys peeling out from your garages, looking out always for stoplight races or always taking ramps and curves at more than twice the speed limit? and i mean, always, as to justify having VDC off most of the time?

i have no problems switching it off everytime i feel the urge, but to each his own i guess.

Everyday I start my burn out in my garage, then down the driveway and all the way down the street past 12 houses or so. Compulsive Disorder I guess.

I like to keep it off because I like to leave tire marks so I know my way back home.

Damn, those are extremely pricey. I thought it would be a lot cheaper than that. I think I'll save the $40. I would like the remote roll up, but for $60 thats insane.

Thanks a lot guys, I think the remote control sunroof looks cool too, still being tested though. I like having it off just incase I hit it hard at a stoplight, and forget it is on, then VDC shuts off the power, or if i go in to a turn n slide a little, then VDC takes over and you cant have any fun.

I always have it on when its raining (unless im fooling aorund in an open parking lot), or snowing, or the roads are in any other condition than dry.

Thanks again
-Mike

For those interested in not hitting the stupid VDC button anymore...KP technologies has the VDC module on sale. Check out the FGC thread for more information:

Also....the sunroof and shift light modules are officially ready for public release.

I don't have a problem with turning it off every time... ...for the moment... ...but yes, G3NIU5, I drive agressively at some point nearly every day (usually most of my driving when traffic isn't near).

Besides, I grew up hanging the tail out on powerful RWD cars that handled a lot worse than the G. No reason not to apply what I've learned with the G, just because VDC is an option. I know the limits of adhesion and the dynamics involved during cornering. I'm very carefull not to upset the chassis balance, and so I'm reluctant to have a safety feature upsetting the balance for me when everything is under control.

Oddly enough, I do feel that ABS has been a great invention. People tend to smash the brake when panicked, which I have done, but even in accident avoidance I never yank the wheel to avoid the object. If you can't miss it without losing control of your car, then you're simply going to hit it, IMO. If you're inclined to avoid the object at all cost, then the VDC might serve you well when you over-react and start to swap ends.

If the VDC wasn't so overly aggressive in when it decides to step in, and if it wasn't so heavy-handed when it does, then I'd have a lot less issues with it.
