I totally regret getting premium package...
-Power glass sliding sunroof. (Don't really care for this. Please tell me the benefits of this.)
-225-watt Bose® premium audio system with 8 speakers and AM/FM/cassette, in-dash, single-slot 6-disc CD autochanger. (Crap system that resets settings every time you shut off the car.)
-Power tilt and telescoping steering wheel. (Could live w/o it.)
-Dual-zone climate control. (Who cares.)
-Auto on/off headlights. (I'm not that lazy.)
-Electrochromic auto-dimming inside mirror. (Annoying.)
-HomeLink® Universal Transceiver. (Useless in my situation.)
If I could've done it again, I would've opted for a new stereo system rather than the premium package. Oh well. Anyone else regret getting the premium package?

Nope. The bose at +4 treble never resets on mine and has way more treble than needed to make ears bleed. My custom sub enclosure and such take care of the rest! The homelink is nice. I have all 3 buttons programmed to my garage doors and love it. Ummm....sunroofs are nice to have. Especially on p!mp-azz sunny days. Dual zone cuz my girlfriend is always colder than I (I was actually surprised at how well this works). Auto headlamps are lame in my opinion. I don't use them. Dimming mirror is the way to go. I don't have tint on my rear window and every soccer mom out here rolls a denali or escalade on 24's. So no regrets.

And does it get hot where you live? Because my sunroof is a lifesaver. I guess you dont have this, but I love driving around town with the sunroof fully open.
I like the dual zone climate control because my gf sets her temp to a very different setting than mine (no dual zone = she changes mine too)
I don't use homelink, and I like the mirror and steering wheel adjustments
The headlights I like ever since I had the dealership adjust their timing (come on and off much faster)
I like it! Can't live without a sunroof... I wanted an in dash CD changer. I didn't really want an auto-dimming mirror, but oh well. I will be getting tinted windows soon, so that should take care of that anyways. Homelink works for me. I make good use out of it!
I remember sittin in an '04 last year. Everything was fine until I asked how to adjust the steering wheel. I immediately felt as if I was in my sister's sentra. But hey, I'm picky. The rest of the car is sweet, of course.
Well with that mindset you could have easily bought a base 350z and saved 8-10 grand. You're buying an entry level luxury car and that's why almost all cars on the dealer's lot come with the Premium package. I was recently looking at a BMW 750i. It lets you do things like adjust your cruise control to automatically slow you down when there's a car in front of you; select a different A/C temperature for the footwell and dash vents; dial, add and delete phone numbers hands-free; adjust the rear sunshades with the touch of a button.. will you, or the people who buy those cars, have a NEED for those features? No, I've actually met people who don't know how to use half of the buttons in their 7-series. You don't see those people kicking themselves for buying a car that offers way more than they need. Bottom line is, the G may have a few more features than some of us really use, but they are what gives it its character and puts it in a certain class of cars. Had I bought my G without the Premium, my 4 year-old Maxima would have had more options than my G.
I do agree with the Bose system being crap.... However I don't mind and actually like everything else. The auto dimming mirror is great for those SUVs and Vans and I'm more thanful for it since my car is lowered. Power adjustable steering column is cool because of ease of adjustment and the dual zone climate control is great because my girl likes it warmer than I do. Auto on / off lights I use but dont really have a need for it and the homelink controls my garage at home / mom's house / and grandmothers house.
I agree with Finiti35, shouldve gotten the Z instead of the G. This is a luxury car.

I just have to get used to it. It takes some adjustment coming from a RX-7. My girlfriend is always colder than me as well, funny. I guess the dual-zone climate control will go to use.
if i could do it again, i would skip the premium and nav, and get just sunroof with after market nav. i got premium just cuz i wanted stock nav. i like the stock nav but not worth it with the premium package.
My 00' GTS celica has auto lights and then I bought a 01' Acura CL-S and it didn't have the auto lights and that bugged the crap out of me....I love that the G has the auto lights, auto sliding sun roof, 6 disc changer and MP3, and dual climate control.
I am extremely happy I did not get the premium package. Its too hot in south fla for a sunroof, I don't need the homelink and autodimming mirror, and i can turn on the lights myself when I need them on. Oh, and IMO the car is too small to really take advantage of the dual climate control. I'm glad I thought all that out before I bought the car! Oh, and the non premium package comes with a 6 cd in dash cd player and mp3 player.
i lovee the premium gotta love the sunroof i lovee the homelink even though i dont know how to program it yet..ad i dont think i could live without auto headlights ...i always forget them on wihtout it
did not get it. maybe i thought it through or maybe i was just cheap. never needed NAV. Had a roo fin last car but never cared for it. (decreases headroom) And I LIKE the stock stereo except now I wish I could play MP#s. I have an '04.
I also didn't get premium. Needed the extra headroom plus who needs that stuff. I could see getting it for the sunroof but that other stuff... Whats with having power steering wheel adjustments? Wierd. Auto light and dimming mirror, I'm not that lazy and the Bose well everyone has their own horror story. hah I'm happy I didn't get it. Also saved some pounds on you guys.
