*VIDS* - 04 5AT vs 05 6mt *Revisted* w/ Plenum Spacer

Alrite guys some of you probably remember our last video post (same location, same cars), and just to refresh your memories my IP 5at (mods in my sig) always got spanked by Eric (Klumzyee, bone stock 05 6mt) by at least a car or two. well, this weekend i swapped one of hydrazine's 1/2'' plenum spacer's from my friend's 350z to mine and we decided to have another go at it to see if it made any diff. i definitely felt the diff once i put it on and i guess the video speaks for itself. i know that too many things could factor into it but relative to the last video, the plenum spacer has obviously made a difference.

Keep in mind same cars, same drivers, same location (we are almost perfectly even throughout the run). the only difference is the 1/2'' spacer.

Recent run with spacer

i was able to dig up one of the old videos, this is before the spacer install. as you can see, i jumped it badly yet i was still overtaken pretty hard:

Old run with no spacer

and heres a random vid of me vs SamV35's Kenstyle G35 (04 5AT, nismo intake, kenstyle exhaust). yes, we both took it easy on the launches and one of us hit the rev limiter

2nd Run

For those of you that did not get to see the vid back in april here it is [click]

Also the new vids are suppose to be in 720x480 widescreen resolution. When it was formatted it turned weird and Kyosho's car looks like it got squished together. If anyone wants the full 110mb version feel free to give me an IM (AIM is capped at 48kb per-sec btw)

Did both of you have a passenger in the old and new vid? Also Kyosho is losing a few whp over stock because of the wheels, so with the spacer/z-tube on this should be a more realistic vid of what your car can do stock. Nice vid anyway tho.

Why is klumzyee's car still bone stock?

After some photoshopping, there was no passenger in the new run of the white G35. I would have to say that is what made the difference not the spacer.

Interesting. Looks like the spacer made quite a difference.

Finiti35: i know the 19's are slowing me down but the main purpose was just to see the difference just a plenum spacer would make.

G35_TX: not sure what you mean, but in both runs i was the only person in my car and the camera man was in the black G's.

I didn't look at the old video. I was just looking at the new video that the guy above mentioned if you had passengers or not.

I just installed my spacer today... It does make a noticeable difference. I also cleaned my K&N air filter later in the afternoon and noticed even more of a difference. Mine is the 3/8. The car breathes much more freely- you can tell. It revs nicely all the way through the powerband it doesn't sound like it is straining anymore at higher RPM's. Ieven noticed the difference with it being 93 degrees and high humidity. I can't wait for some cooler weather. I was able to do back to back comparisons from the 05 sedan loaner that the dealer gave me then in my car after the spacer install. I could tell than my coupe was noticably quicker that the loaner.
