Hey forum members.....here's another observation from the Growler. Been watching that fuel gage of ours for a while now and I have observed some "magic movement" in how it registers and holds a reading. Check this out and get back to me please. I'm not complaining, just sharing.

When your driving and the gage is anywhere below the full mark make a mental note of where it it in relation to the indicator graduations. Be sure your relatively level, shut down and the next time you restart you should see the needle rise up as always but not exactly where it was before you shut down. The new position is but only about one needle thickness lower.

I think its just the electronics resetting and the fuel level is obviously the same as when you shut down, just the needle does not fully return to the prior position.

yea.. i noticed this as well.. i am big gas freak.. so i keep a good look at the gas lever to see how much gas my car consumes ( plus i dont have the nav so i dont know how much mpg i get )... anyways.. i noticed this.. i know where ure coming from

what is that little arrow looking thing right to the right of the center needle portion there .. lit up orange dash light color???

That arrow tells you which side of the car the feul door is on.

I have sort of noticed that on my G. On my MR2, it does the same thing, except it is more than a needle's worth. I agree, I think it is the electronics resetting to the new fuel level.

heh nah, it doesnt light up, a lot cars these days have that little arrow indicating on which side of the vehicle to pump gas.
Yeah, i remember when i first got my Corolla in '98, i couldnt figure out what that arrow was for, sometimes it looked as if it lights up, but it was just a reflection, hehe
