Infiniti Service Opinions
Infiniti Service Opinions
I just wanted to throw this out, after having read about Lipps' problem with the transmission and Crescent City Infiniti...
My previous car was a 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE which I purchased from LeBlanc Nissan in Gonzales, LA. One of the selling points of that particular dealership was the professionalism of the service department staff. Not only were both service managers EXTREMELY knowledgeable, but all the mechanics KNEW their business. The shop area was always immaculate and every time I took my Altima or my fiance's Xterra in for regular service, I got invited back in to the shop to BS with the guys and watch the service performed.
Now, I've moved up a notch in the Nissan family by purchasing a 6MT Coupe. When I went in for my first scheduled oil change, they looked at me a little askance when I asked to go back in the shop...but let me anyway. It was VERY striking the difference...
Granted, Infiniti of Baton Rouge is co-located with Acura of Baton Rouge and shares a fairly old facility (a new one is in the works), but I was somewhat taken aback by the state of the shop. It was definitely not clean and orderly and the techs weren't as clean cut as the Nissan guys are....
Now, I realize this doesn't reflect upon anyone's competance in servicing my vehicle...but for a high-end badge, don't you wonder? I haven't gotten to know any of the service people there, so I won't offer any opinion on what they do/do not know or how strong or weak their technical skills are...but first impressions count for something.
Anyone have anything to add to this??
Ryan
Drive it like I stole it?
Hell...drive it like I'm making payments on it...
