I purchased my snows/rims from the Tire Rack at this time last year. As a matter of fact, they seem to have had a much larger selection/choice than later on in the season.
If you know what you want, call them ASAP. Chances are you will have them shipped to you in less than a week.

I went with four (4) Dunlop M3 winter sports 225x55X17, and put them on a set of ASA KA3 rims, (I think they are discontinued now, but they have a similar rim that looks alot like the stock 18"s) I had no problems with the VDC/ABS system, since the rears are almost the exact same size as my Pilot sports....

From what I've seen on other threads, the OEM 17's are a very tight fit on the Brembos. Most don't want to risk it.

Anybody run the OEM 17's with the Eagle RS-A all-seasons in the snow? I know they won't be as good as dedicated snow tires, but curious how they would do.

So how much should I be looking to spend, for some cheapest 17s that will clear brembos, and snow tires?

Always check first to make sure the aftermarket rims will clear your brembo's. I think the rims I purchased were safe, but I can not remember for sure.

Anyways, my set up with the rims/tires lugs, special socket, mounted, balanced, centering rings and warranty.....shipped to me cost about $1,250.00

I must say it was the best investment I made for the car. In winter months in the NorthEast it is necessary to operate the car safely....

Hope this helps

Doesn't sound that bad. I'm either considering that or just getting some snow tires for my stock 18s. I'm really worried about that brembo fitment problem.

I've already gotten 2 winters (11K Miles) on the Pirelli 210 Snowsports mounted on Sport Edition Fox 5 17 inch rims from Tire Rack. They fit with no problem over my Brembos, and didn't cost a fortune. The Tire Rack folks can hook you up. I went with the Pirelli's because they were rated better than the Blizzaks and others in dry cornering, and here in NY the roads are dry most winter days. However, on the snowy days, I had absolutely no problems getting around. Handling and control were much better than I would have ever expected from a snow tire. Don't wait too long...the car is not driveable with the Pilots in even a light dusting of snow...
