05 under the hood

Hey guys, question?

Under your hood you know how your battery has a cover over it. Is the break fluid supposed to have a similar cover or is that right side supposed to be just exposed? Mine only has a battery cover part. So I just wanted to know should I go back to the dealer and get one?

thanks.

That's the way they come. If you want the right side covered, you have to buy a JDM battery cover (the Japanese models have the battery on the opposite side). Grubbs Performance sells it for $50. I got mine from strictly z several months back.

That additional cover is on my want list. I think that it cleans up the look under the hood. The M45 has a very clean looking engine compartment. The G should have had this additional cover.

Haha even the 350 has the covers on both sides.. I've had a 350 owner look at my car and ask me why I took off my brake fluid cover.

Yeah, Grubbs Performance Parts has it for $49.95 and Performance Nissan Parts has it for $48.95. Here are some notes per the Performance Nissan Parts site:

Get rid of that hole over the brake fluid with this JDM part of the Right Hand Drive NISSAN SKYLINE in Japan!

# Some trimming of the cover will be needed for cover to fit flush. Also, you may need to drill or widen a hole in the metal in order to get one of the clips to fit in. These slight modifications are simple and easy to perform

The cover says BATTERY on it since it is over the Battery on a Righ Hand Drive Skyline.
