I NEED HELP! new G owner with new tires, ride is no fun!!!
OK, i was running so many question on someone else post that i decided to make one on my own.
I recently purchased a 2004 g35 coupe m6 with original Pilot in front, worn out pilot on rear. Ride on dry was amazing for 1 day....
I decided to buy 2 Dunlop Direzza for rear, car was now dangerous to drive!!! feel like two sponges were on the rear wheels, drove them for about 150 km and got back to garage to tell him these tire are seriously uncompatible with the michelin.
I installed two Toyo T1R in the rear this morning, steering response is much improved (not sharp as the michelin....) but the main problem is that the damm VDC come in at almost EVERY TURN above 50 kmh i make!!!!!!!
(rear size= 245-45-r18)
this tire issue is killing my hapiness for this fabulous car....
Please, all the comments will be apreciated....my heart is broken...

The reason they feel so slippery is because new tires have a flim on it. You need to go about a couple hundred miles till that slippery film comes off. Then you should be fine with whatever tires you had in the back.

PLEASE!!! i hope so much it's true.....
Tire guys told me it's was ok to mix brand if you respect the speed rating.
the price in Canada for summer michelin pilot sport is just ridiculous...about 1100$ca. for two tires..

I'm not sure about car tires, but motorcycle tires take about 50 to 100 mile to "break in" and get rid of the mold release agent. I'm guessing it shouldn't be anymore than that for car tires. Also on a bike...mixing tires definately does affect your handling, even when tires are the same size they have some differences to shape, performance, and different materials used(rubber mixture, carcass, constuction,..etc). These tires have different flexibility rates and while cornering for example, one brand may flex alot more while another is more rigid...causing them to be contacting the pavement at different angles.Thread patterns are usually designed to work together.....
alright enough babbleing.....

thanks for comments.....i wish more people would share their experience.
Got back to tire dealer and nissan/infiniti see what they have to say.
Tire dealer said: he his pretty sure buying two more toyo for the front is not the solution..suspect car sensor or something electronic.
nissan/infiniti dealers: Said that steering center setting for abs/vdc might be wrong. he plugged the electronic tool , run the test. that changed nothing...car stil the same.
