Who did this? Evil Z owner? Zorro? *pics*

Just noticed this when cleaning my car. Whatcha think? Somebody do it on purpose? Or was it just an overswung door?

It's in a weird spot, kind of hard to get under it with a door...I dunno.

It could be from a chunk of steel-belted tire debris that got kicked up either by your front tires or by another car.

Is it me... or do you guys constantly hear road debris bouncing off your mirrors when you drive?

It seems to happen far too often(and I don't notice any scratches or chips on the painted portion of my mirror housing)... which makes me think that my mirrors might just be making this noise as a result of heat expansion or something(kinda like your radiators do in your house when they heat up, assuming you have baseboard heating).

or some @$$hole ran into it on a bicycle. happened to a friend of mine on her beetle. no scratches on door or fenders, just on the mirror.

the rear mirror housing squeaky sound has been really irritating me... You can basically hold the mirror housing and apply small amount of force and it would squeak....

Bad workmanship~

Yea I have noticed this too, but I still think they are debree...we'll find these scratches sooner or later after a few washes and some attention to detail. I have a hard time believe that something hitting it so loudly won't leave a mark, but I experience it too...I think it may be hitting the windhshield though...

The thought of this happening to mine makes me want to vomit. I always make it a point to park in the far most parking spot where ever I go. In reality the only way to avoid it is to leave her in the garage 24/7...I'll just have to take my chances.
