Willow or Graphite int. ur opinions
I have a 03 G35c 6MT coming in the first week of july and im getting a Diamond Graphite w/graphite int. I originally wanted the diamond graphite with willow int. but would have to pay MSRP for that one. What are ur takes on the graphite int as well as the willow. which do you prefer with a Diamond Graphite ext.
Also, should i wait for the 04 models rather then get a 03.5?
on order for a 03.5 G35c in Diamond Graphite w/ Graphite int. Premium pkg and Aero pkg.

i have willow & i like it. both look nice when clean. both are hard to keep clean. grease & crap from the bottom of your shoes shoes up on willow, but dust shows up on graphite.
also, its hotter where i am so cooler color was a must!

i also have willow, i was offered the graphite at $500 under msrp. turned it down, 100 degree florida heat and black interior dont mix well. Even with the willow interior, & dark tint it gets hot in there. I got a loaner sedan with the graphite and didn't care for it. its hard to keep the dash from looking dusty, and shows dirt more IMO.

I chose the Graphite interior. The Willow just looked too plain for me.
As for heat? In Boston it only gets hot about 2 months of the year. I can just open the windows and turn on the A/C for a couple of minutes.

I have Diamond Graphite/Graphite setup and love it. It doesn't come out of the garage that often, so I don't have an issue with dust. I think Graphite has a sportier feel to it, but that's just my two cents.
Re: Willow or Graphite int. ur opinions
i totally hated willow leather combination with the beige dash-board. it sorta reminded me of a corolla without the leather. but yeah it does depend on where you live. if i was in florida the graphite would defiently give me 2nd degree burns
.
On the graphite the mats dont show dirt but leather does show dust.

I live in Cali. 10 months of Heat here, Have graphite, does get hot if in direct sunlight, my remedy, roll down the window with the key fob, and wait till the hot air gets out, get in and turn on the ac, the seats will get hot, but not extreme "I can't sit in it " hot. (this was in high 90's weather with no tint, nor sun shade) But I love the Graphite over the Willow in my Ivory coupe.
Re: Willow or Graphite int. ur opinions
willow all the way baby...gotta love that luxurious feel, it really opens up the interior, makes it look VERY spacious when compared to graph. interior. I've sat in both and that is my opinion on it.
Conclusion: Willow = Luxurious+spacious feel+cooler in the summer.

Re: Willow or Graphite int. ur opinions
rambo has a good point, willow is more luxurious looking, IMO. Willow seems to make the interior look bigger, and is less confining, but the graphite is certainly sportier (and the mats/carpet are easier to keep clean).
just depends on what you prefer!

clayman: LOL!!!!!!!!! Corolla you say? I have a corolla with the same color interior as my G, man you hit the nail head-on with that statement. when i first rode in my G it reminded me of my corolla (which i still have and LOVE)
I love the willow/brown/silver console combo!

the willow mats are not that hard to keep clean. I've turned over all my mats to the rubber side except for the driver's mat, its been 2 months now and the rubber ones are sooooo dirty compared to my driver's mat which looks VERY clean!

1 more thing for shooby:
Go sit inside of both, a graph and a willow interiored G..... then decide...basically its like this... you will be sitting inside of your G when you are driving, so therefore you need to choose whats best, dont just go by which is cheapest. you are going to be sitting inside of your car more than standing outside of it.

Re: Willow or Graphite int. ur opinions
Ah...the great debate has begun. I chose Willow for a few reasons. In the Graphite, the entire interior is black, except above the door/dash line. This is probably the number 1 complaint of Graphite interior owners. The color above the doorline is the same in all cars. The Willow is definitely cooler, which is a good thing in Texas. I like the multiple tones of the Willow better. It gives more class and visualization to the interior. It will definitiely look better as the interior ages. As different plastics fade, they will fade differently. This will make individual panels like the clove box doors stick out like a sore thumb as they fade different that the dash. The scripting on the seats also looks a lot better. Last, I have a Maxima with a Beige interior. Many of these reasons were the same reasons why I got the beige interior in the Maxima and I have never regretted. Since typically only white and black cars out of the allocations have Willow interiors, I custom ordered mine.

cool
i want to add this too.....i am so glad that the willow interior has brown accents, instead of black, i hate it when car manufacturers mix black with beige, its ugly.
i.e. bmw 5 series, ford taurus

Re: Willow or Graphite int. ur opinions
Neither looks bad, but there's definitely a big difference in the sort of image each projects. I would recommend Willow for most people. It's the more elegant and luxurious choice. I chose Graphite because it's more... well, badass. That's the best word I can come up with. I didn't want a soothing interior, I wanted to feel like I was climbing into the cockpit of a technologically advanced sports car. I also love the feeling of a completely dark enclosure when driving at night, like I'm just floating over the road. Oh, and the Graphite matches all my little gadgets.
But if, unlike me, you don't sometimes think you're Batman, then yeah, go Willow.
