When I was pulling into my drive way, I noticed a sqeeke come from my brakes, but it didn't reappear. I haven't had to really use the brakes yet (haven't been in emergency situation), so I am a bit surprised. Is it OK if it sqeeked ones, or should I take it for service?

 

mine did the same thing. After cleaning the wheels it stopped. I think that it was brake dust. There is no harm in taking it in to get it checked out however.

I have the brembos. ... and they squeek from time to time on slow stops usually ... they did it constantly from 1500kms to around 2500 kms or so and now do it once in a while

and you know what >..... I think it may be due to brake dust ... I'll test that out... super clean wheels dont do it ...I wonder if its related ...

either way supposedly with the brembo's this is completely normal and has been covered on this board numerous times....

Thanks for your feedback. I have 5AT, so I don't have the brembos . Luckily, that was the only time they sqeeked - I haven't noticed it since. Hopefully, it was due to a lot of break dust.
