What other cars did you consider before purchasing your G?

A 330ci is over 40K and with the new body style out who wants an old style "new" car. The Benz are nice, the clk is sweet, but for 55K it better be. Lexus, maybe but what else is there really? Not interested in a FWD Acura or any american car like the G6. Guess the G35 coupe really has a nice spot in the market.
Being in the Philadelphia area getting an extra set of rims and snow tires does not excite me, figure that's another 1k?? The back seats are tight but will only be used very rarely, and they do offer enough room if the baby seat has to fit back there. Haven't made up my mind about when to purchase. Buy new 05 for a few hundred over invoice? Look for extremely low mile 04 and offer wholesale for a private ad? Maybe wait till the 06's hit the dealer lots and see if I want an 06, or hope that pushes the used/leftover prices down just a little.
Anyway, sure seems like a great car and a reasonable price. Am I over looking anything with this car?
Thanks for the feedback.

Let me make an analysis of the 06 BMW 330ci. On performance the BMW ranks a 9 out of 10. On price it ranks a 5 out of 10. On convenience it ranks a 7. On styling/prestige it ranks a 8. Now do the math. Performance is a 45 (5 x 9). Convenience is a 21 (3 x 7). Price is a 20 (4 x 5). Styling/prestige makes a 16 (2 x 8). Final score is 102.
Next look at the 05 G35 coupe. Perfomance is a 9. Price is a 8. Convenience is a 7 and styling/prestige is a 6. Final score is a 110.
Look at the clk350. Performance is a 8. Price is a 3. Convenience is a 8. Styling/prestige is a 8. Final score is a 92.
Finally look at the Subaru WRX STi. Performance is a 10. Price is a 8. Convenience is a 6 and styling prestige is a 3. Final score is 120.
Do you like my rational way for making up your mind?

350z touring : didnt buy bc of tire feathering
325i w/ sport pkg : didnt buy bc high maintanance fee after warranty
rx8 : guzzle too much gas, cheap interior
mazda3 sp23 hatch w/ nav ( cheap! ) : only was tempting bc of the price
is300 : looks sorta old nowadays...
tsx : this was the strongest contender...
cts ( employee discount!! ) : ive been watching matrix too many times...

I've owned Porsches, BMWs, and Infinitis. They were all great cars, but German cars are getting way over priced IMO. There's a certain aamount of prestiege in owning German cars and so you have to pay a premium to join the club. At the present time, I'm unwilling to pay that premium.
Also in the past the German cars were bulletproff. They no longer are. The best car decision I ever mad e was buying a 993, the worse was trading it in for a 996. I had the RMS replaced on my 996 two times and assorted other quality problems. The car was way, way overpriced IMO. My BMW M3's engine blew with only a few thousand miles on the odometer. The replaced engine didn't have any where near the power of the old one, it was as though they detuned it to encourage longevity.
Anyway, if you are trying to impress someone buy a Porsche 997 for around $80K or an M3 for around $57K. If you want a nice looking car with decent performance, buy a G35C.
