RX8 - A little overpriced and underpowered.

TL - Ruled out because of FWD and the fact that its all over the road.

Used M3 - Ruled out because I couldn't find any good low mileaged SMG transmissions, or rather any in my price range without going into high milege.

G coupe
G Sedan
Acura TL
BMW M3 (a little out of price range, but still looked)
BMW 330xi
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII

VERY happy with my choice of the G coupe. I love the exterior look of the Evo, it is just so badass, but I love the G's combo of sleakness and subtlety, and aggresiveness and outgoing, the G can be either for whatever your needs.

Ofcourse ended up picking the Coupe and very happy I did, now I just may have to buy a pos 4x4 for like $2000 as a winter truck.

I needed a back seat but wanted a sporty coupe. So I looked at the Mustang GT and the BMW 3 series. BMW is highly priced and I see them all over the road. The GT is sweet looking but couldn't find any availble. I had a 97 Mustang GT that I enjoyed. The G is sexy, fast, tight, and classy. I have received many compliments on it. I have my G35C for 5 months and very happy with my decision !!!!!!!!!!

Good Luck

Parents looking for a new car for me and sometimes they might use it as well. Looked at maxima and TL, i tried to catch their intrest in an RX-8 and some lexus around 30 k (our limit on car prices) and joked about about g35 coupe + Z (my true desires). Z was out of the question cause of 2 seater. Somehow I convinced my parents to check the g35 out, the last dealership we went to for the day. It was the first car we test drove and decided that it was the car spend an extra 2k on a brand new 05 laser red coupe g35~! We bought it a week later. My parents feel to old to drive a red sports car so I'm the only one driving it. 17 years old with a g... how sweet is that.

i took a real hard look at the s4, but the rs4 is coming out soon and it sounds like a monster... 414hp, 314ft/lb turbocharged v8. maybe i'll go look again after they work the bugs out.

Criteria -- Needed a fun car with a back-seat. Test drove all of these cars...

Acura TL
Legacy GT
STI
330ci
Mustang GT
RX-8

...ended up buying a '05 G35 Coupe two weeks ago - couldn't be happier.

I looked at just about everything under the sun.

350Z (Coupe and Convertible)
S2000- Bought a 2004 and traded it in for the G Coupe. Miss it alot even now.
Civic Si (EP3)
M3 (Coupe and Convertible)
IS300 and upcoming IS350
SC430
Acura NSX,TSX, RSX
Audi S4, RS6
Boxster S
MR2 (ZZW30)

I decided on the G coupe among the others as a trade for the S2000. I'm still happy with my decision but I do miss the S. The G's a great car, but I want to get back into a Honda/Acura. I'm waiting for the 2008/2009 NSX to come out to trade in my whip. I can just hear that V10 howling behind my shoulders now...

Passat GLX
A4 1.8T
C320
330i
TL

And for obvious reasons the G35 won.
