alright, so i get my impul replica spoiler on wed and go to the body shop today thinking ah paint and installment isnt gonna be a big deal this'll probably turn out to be 300 total with the spoiler(230 shipped) and paint+install. i get to the shop and the guy tells me it isnt molded right and there are chips and it needs to be sanded and theres all these imperfections, blah blah blah long story short he wants 300to paint and install. which would make it a total of 510!!!!! what kinda prices and problems have people gotten with this spoiler??? can anyone give me advice, should i pay the 300, is that what it costs????? or should i just return to 350zforums

i have yet to go to another shop, but i really trust the guys i went to, i dont think theyd try to rape me with the pricing, they see i mod my car, they know im not stupid. oh while im at it i asked them about labor for headers cause i was thinkin about getting the pro-1 headers, they want 400 for both. how does that sound to people?

nah bro, what im sayin, i stalled it my self with the 3m tape, ill take some pictures, its okay, honestly i think to rock this spoiler the impul rear bumper is good to have, but then again bette the ironing board spoiler, lol

 

$300 is way too much. As far as I know, sanding is expected as part of the paint prep process. Anything over $200 (incl install) for that piece is way too much.

If you need someone in NY, I can recommend the shop that did my UT trunk spoiler. PM if interested.

 

300 is way overpriced to install an impul spoiler. You need to goto another bodyshops and get at least two other quote.

 

hey man did you buy your spoiler from gtaerokit?? I got the same sh*t as you bro...bought that spoiler for $80, shipping was $65. Took my spoiler to a bodyshop out here in CA. Told me if I wanted it painted and installed, $150. Thing is that the spoiler had some imperfections on it. Like yours, they would have to sand it down because it wasn't smooth but the worst than is that it didn't match the curvature of the rear fenders so they had to reshape the spoiler. How much to do the job correct? $300-400.

Hey I saw another G with the impul spoiler. Check it out. I saw a prob with it tho...check out the side spoilers mounted on the tail lights. If you got the impul spoiler, you'll run into this prob too. I'm not too sure how i post pics so someone has to help me out if i dont do it right

 

silvrsurfer recommended i go to this place. i went over there they want 200, i paid230for the spoiler making this 430 for some crappy little spoiler, so i gave up and just gave it to em, have it on saturday, pictures soon. what sucks is its like 50bucks cheaper cause of a a sale at 350zforums. this white G has the spoiler on funny. does anyone know how to post files larger than 100k, everytime i try to upload a picture ive gotte shrink it, but ive seen huge high resoultion pics on here all the time
