If I go out of state to buy my g35, do I have to go to that same dealer for repairs and stuff guaranteed by the warranty?

sorry if that seems like common sense because this is my first car and I am not aware of these things.

thank you

No. The warranty is from the factory and has nothing to do with the dealer. The dealer will get paid by Nissan for any warranty work.

I've had my car at Southbay Infiniti for the last 2 weeks. Their "top-tech" is a joke. He was beating on my dash to see if he could fix my fuel gauge problem. What an idiot... They don't call you when your car's ready. I've driven every single one of their loan cars in the last 2 months. If you're in the South Bay area, look for a silver FX35 with "SouthBay Loan Car" and a AAA sticker on the bottom of the bumper. Honk and wave, it's probably me still driving it while they diagnose my problem. The only good part is that they always have a loaner car available even when you drop off your car unannounced.

I got my G at Miller Infiniti in the Valley (Van Nuyes). My experience with them (though limited) goes like this:

I went in because I noticed my hood was off alignment about a week after I received the car. I stood outside my car and instead of being helped I get stared at. Finally I go and talk to the service manager who says I need an appointment (when I bought the car they said come in any time).

Other than being ignored and lied to the service is pretty good.

Had an oil/filter change at Miller in Van Nuys and waited for car. No problems and the price was very reasonable ( I recall <$30 with non-synthetic oil).

I was surprised I needed a reservation. Is this a common Infiniti trait?

I know this isn't in your area as requested but, Tim at Glendale gave me a
great deal. It's a nice clean dealership with a great service department. It may
be worth the drive to deal with a good dealership. You don't have to drive to
Glendale for service but after meeting the crew you may want to!

Mission Viejo has been okay with me, although I've only been there to get the front lip and splash guards installed (ordered when I bought car), and to get a couple TSBs taken care of. Got a loaner everytime, but of course, I bought the car there, so they better take care of that. Didn't go for my 15K because I did most of it myself, however, I'm running up on 30K, and I'm not so sure I want to go through them. They quoted me $429 for that. Ouch.

You should try Performance Nissan in Duarte, CA for normal oil change and maintenance. Good, knowledgeable dept.

How's three or four scratches just for a spoiler install? Three were on the bumper and able to be removed with a color sand. One was on the driver's side skirt (to the plastic). On top of that, metal shavings were left inside the trunk lid after the spoiler install so there was an annoying rattle inside the trunk.... The good part is that they paid Bravo to fix the dings and issued a loaner car while my car was in the shop.

Cerritos?

To make a long story short.. Let's just say I'm now on a first name basis with Paul Conant (General Manager).

Man...I've been looking for a different dealer but everywhere in the area sounds pretty bad..I guess I'll consider Glendale next, unless any of the Nissan dealers in the area are sufficient..??

i had my car for 7 months now, i've been gone to metro infiniti in monrovia for four times already, 1st time to install satelite radio and splash guards, 2nd and third time for the 1st two services and the last time i went there to replace my sat radio antenna cuz the it was sealed right. i don't have any complains about their work and their sa's attitude. my car is leased, so to be honest i don't give a sh*t with what they do or don't do with my car and i don't have any mods on the car either. one thing about metro infiniti that really stands out with me is their efficiency, they get you in n' out of their dealership very fast, after 10 min. your loaner car is waiting for you out front.
