I did read it and do remember that part, but I was assuming since you ARE still on this forum that A. Your still interested in getting one or B. You got another one after the case..

Either way, sorry to hear you had a bad experience, but you should always put your foot down, even if it means getting up while the sales guy is still talking and walking straight out the door.

im 5-8 170, no problem with my seat, but i totally believe you. G35 seats are made to hold you in place firmly, so i can see it bothering people with wide body types. I dont think its a matter of height. Im sorry you had to go through all that. Its like one unfortunate incidence after another. My back started feeling like its hurting just reading your story!! outch. good luck on your next vheicle purchase, A mistake made is a lesson learned. Im sure you'll do much better next time. Hope you dont have a life long grudge against infiniti though, there are good dealerships and there are bad dealerships, it has nothing to do with brand. It seems you ran into the dealership from hell. I experience really good and classy and no pressure service when I bought my car. good luck

btw, why didnt you just sell your car privately? G35 depreciates real slow, you could have gotten most of your money back and taken a much smaller hit IMO. patience is a virtue.

p.s. - funny your amazing story pretty much jacked this topic

MT didn't go into details about the G35's options but it had $5K worth of options to bring its price up to $36.5K and the 330's tested price came to $47.3K. Wow so with taxes that pushes the price of the entry level BMW past $50K.

Performance data:
------- Audi A4 - BMW 330 - Infiniti G35
0-60 -- -- 7.1 ---- 6.6 ------- 6.5
0-100 --- 18.3 -- 17.4 ----- 17.5
1/4 mile -- 15.1 -- 14.7----- 14.7

600' slalom - 62.2 mph 67.8mph 65.3mph

I am a little over 6'2" and find the G35coupe seats to be obnoxiously comfortable. In fact, on long trips even, these are the most comfortable seats I have had.

And before this car I have had:
1. Infiniti G20
2. Infiniti I-30
3. C5 Corvette

Sorry you had such a problem, but you shot yourself in the foot by not following your original plan and waiting things out. You also should have told him that a 3 minute test drive was simply not sufficient. Again, sorry, but you needed to stand up for yourself. Cmon! You play HOCKEY! You check people all day but couldn't walk away from some dip$hit salesman.

Also, you ever consider your back problems could have roots in hockey?

why didnt you just use a pillow or something else soft to help coushion your back instead of keep sitting awkwardly and eventually snap your back while you try to sell your car privately?

OK i would of sold the car and be left with nothing and no down paiment? get real... whos going to show up at my house with 33560$ for a car he does not know nothing about when he can get it new for 1000$ more?

I know you would not...

Infiniti has more used then new so what makes you think I would sell mine?

Also do you beleive that it's acceptable to pay 30K+ for a car and carrie a pillow around? get real...

I like the 330 too but still went with G35. I just thought that there are too many BMs out there than Gs. The other thing I considered was the maintenance and warranty. I don't know, if I could own both... i would.

whao, so instead of looking dumb with a pillow behind your back, its better to let your back snap? thats a pretty hafty price to pay to look cool isnt it? I mean you already decided that you need to get rid of the car at that point, why does it matter if you use a pillow or not? its just a temporary solution considering you were obviously in serious pain. isnt your health more important than temporarily looking cool?

And im not saying if you sold your car privately, you would have been left with no payment, nothing down and what not. But if you offer a price below most dealer price for used g35s, people will buy it. Even though im sure you can still sell it at more than what you got from the dealer and took less of a hit. its like, you got lowballed by them once, then instead of learning your lesson. you went back to them again!!! and got lowballed again with the high interest rate and less money for your car. and FYI there are plenty of people that has 33k worth of cash to buy a car. thats how I got my car. You dont loose anything to give it a shot right?

Anywho, i feel like you just keep letting people take advantage of you over and over again. Im sure you'll be wiser in the future. Cause a bad bmw dealership can potentially do the same thing to you. I sympathize with you though, youve certainly been through a lot, and Good luck.

I went in to test drive a G right after I sat in the coupe at an auto show. Those were the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in, and I've ridden in my share of newer German luxury cars. I have a large friend that hates the car b/c hes so wide its hard to shift w/ him in the passenger seat. My buddy has a new M3 and I wouldnt think you would prefer those seats over the G, unless you like flat.

Most people test drive cars first, thats pretty important. Maybe the guy was going to the bank to deposit the wad he made after the sucker before you, hence the vacation.

Hey DJInferno ... I feel really bad after reading your story ... but in my opinion i find the G35 seats to be very comfortable ... i think the steering is fine ...as well ... but its my first car so i dont really have much to compare it with. I'm sorry that you had such a bad experience with a G... good luck to you in the future ... hope BMW satisfies your needs ...
