Anybody race an RSX type S 05 yet?

Just wondering if anybody on here has gone up against this car and what was the outcome? I know it should be a close race because of the RSX's weight, let me get some feedback, thanx...

we should win given the quarter mile times but both are great cars.

I raced one the other day. Some kid in a Blue one. We did it from a dig, so the torque our car's have gave me an instant advantage of about half a car. After he hit Vtec He started to creep up but then I just started gaining on him little by little. I would say by the middle of 4th I had a little over a car on him. Quick little cars. My Ex has one. I like the way it felt, nice and light.

stock it would be a driver's race. if there are mods, it could get interesting.

I don't think there should be any problem but considering its small engine, it's such a great car. I think Honda VTECs (only the DOHC ones) are the best engine ever. I loved my 99 Prelude.

G will win unless RSX is modded. And it doesn't take FI . You would need CAI, H, E, and Hondata to win against a stock G35C 6MT. I've raced my buddies stock G35C 6MT and he gets me from a dig, then my VTEC kicks in and nobody pulls. He just keeps his lead from the dig. I have an 02 w/ CAI, Hondata IMG, and Hondata #4. I also have heavier than stock wheels.

Same mods on an 05 might be a tad quicker than my 02. I haven't gotten to race one myself....yet. Aftermarket is huge for the RSX and there are a lot of under 14 sec type S's running around. At morosso guys were hitting low 14's w/ just CAI and exhaust. Add RH, Hondata, pullies, and better tires and they are capable of high 13's....with a good driver of course. Check out Club RSX for all kinds of info.

The RSX is probably the best "all around" FWD 4 banger out there. Which is why I bought mine back in 02. I'm actually selling mine to get the 06 G35C 6MT. I love her, but it's time to move on. I want the "Sport" as-well-as the "luxury". I've wanted the G since I got to drive my buddies around. The G is one bad *** ride. Can't wait to get mine and sounds like the new changes to 06 will make it an even better purchase now.

Ha ha, that's what I was going to say. Nice car but the interior is so boy-racer and plain looking... Give me a touch of class anyday.

I used to take those things in my '99 GST eclipse. I think the RSX type S is like 0-60 in 6.5 and 1/4 mile 15.1. You should be able to devistate one in a G35.
