We should try to see if we can get a discount if us OT members purchase 2 vehicles together at the same time, that would be great. I'm definetly looking for a new ride...

If you are on an incline, an added level of safety is to leave your car in first gear. As for the smell of a burnt clutch, I haven't experienced that yet, but I know how to get it. What you do is to depress the clutch pedal, rev your engine to 4-5K rpm, and then let the clutch pop. This is also a great way to test a clutch for wear if you buy a used car. When I test drove used Porsches, I would always try this test. I can't say that any salesmen liked my test method however.

This is a known problem on the 04' and 05' models. I had the same problem and when I took it to the dealership they told me that I had the first 05' they have seen with that problem but it was common on the 04's and they knew exactly how to fix it and did! take it to dealership if you hear any clanking while throttling in low gears or when shutting the car off.
