The reason that they won't work on it while it's under warranty is that Infiniti won't pay them for warranty work.
So yeah, once warranty is up, go there.

i take mines to a honda dealer
my Dad works as a service tech for tony honda (hawaii). I would take the car in for service and maintenance checks over in my Dad's stall.
Just a thought - Falken's G35 uses a honda oil filter

I take my car into local Japanese mechanic called Signal Auto for only $15 tax included. They are really famous for fixing Nissan/Infiniti (expecially S15 Silvias) cars and are in lot's of competitions. I have no problem at all.
my local nissan dealership is sort of shabby looking compared to the infiniti dealership, but they're more flexible, faster with the work, more courteous on the phone, hand wash my car, substitute whatever oil I bring them (and take off the price they charge for the parts), charge about $15 for labor (if I bring my own oil, filter, crush washer, etc).
I think the nearest infiniti dealership is about 45minutes away from me, are ALWAYS booked (apparently, every day is a "busy" day), leave me on hold for 5, 10, 15 (if I let them) minutes, and charge about $45 for a regular oil change. And they throw the cars through some mangler.
Oh, and though the infiniti dealership fixed the crankshaft position sensor, they replaced my graphite driver side vent with a light grey driver side vent. I'll let that one go until before the warranty is up. Idiots.
BTW, the columbus infiniti is MUCH nicer than the one in bedford. The bedford one is crap.
