The G in 2005
I just talked to a salesman, and he told me that he knows some product manager/designer or something with Infiniti, and that this guy recently told him that the G35 Coupe in '05 will have vertically opening doors and an option for a hard top convetible for about 15 grand more!
Sounds sweet, has anyone else heard about this, or know more details?

Don't laugh too hard, I my salesman told me the same thing. I don't know where you live, but I'm guessing its not Long Island. If you are hearing the same thing, maybe its not totally untrue. My salesman told me it was going to be something on the FX45 body with the swing doors.

Maybe by 2020 we'll have in-dash food replicators, transparent-aluminum windows, and a Mr. Fusion to power the 1000hp electric motor.

Take a look at the Nissan Skyline in Japan for an idea what may come here on the G35 a year or two later, since its the same car. I don't recall hearing about any of these features coming out on the Skyline, so there's virtually no way it will be on the G.

The Skyline GT-R is coming in the 2006 model year(late 2005)as the Infiniti Skyline. Yes, it will be called the Skyline. Infiniti sent letters to all their dealers anouncing it a while ago. They price was projected from $50,000 to $100,000(the actual letter showed a projection on the high side of that).

the swinging door infiniti was a concept from a year ago almost.....its probably still on their website, the doors are hinged to the roof and so they swing upwards, the car's size is more of the FX's size
