Need Help With Tires

ok so my rear tires are officially done with, i turn corners at like 5mph and can hear rubber. so i was wondering if the experts on the site had any ideas for tires, ive got the stock 18s, im after a really smooth ride, if thats possible with a 6mt coupe. i also want mucho cheap so i can keep on with the mods. this is what i came up with so far, http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....lace=6&index=6

really cheap but "you get what you pay for" right?, any insight is appreciated

I have these tires and they work fine. I don't drive the car very hard so these tires seem to be more than enough for me. On the few ocassions that I drive the car to around 4-5k and shift, the tires don't slip and on the turns, they grip pretty well. If you're one to take every turn with the intent to feel your whipping around the turn then these might not be for you. Personally, I don't feel that need so these tires are fine.

You might want to check out the Nitto 555 Extreme ZR. This is the "street tuner" series of tires from the Toyo Tire and Rubber Company. High performance at a reasonable cost.

Avon Tech M550. I put these tires on the stock 18s and WOW! They are absolutely fantastic. Extremely smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride, while still having superb cornering and responsiveness. Grips like you wouldn't beleive, and at a price that is absolutely incredible! Also made in stock sizes (225/45 and 245/45 so there are no worries)

I was a little skeptical at first not being a big name, but the reviews on Tirerack dont lie. The #1 rated tire in the surveys. Check it out

Far from an expert on tires though, my rear Goodyear Eagle 17's are all but finished as well with only 22K. With that said, I have always had excellent tire wear from Toyo's in the past. I'm leaning that direction for my G very soon. Check this;

OR,

OR,
www.treadepot.com

I refuse to replace mine with original Goodyear tires. Yes, they cost more $$$, but I believe Toyo's are better. Good luck with what you decide!

Way to go. I LOVE these tires. If you are going to compare them to the Pilots, they don't nearly have such an agressive sidewall, so if you were used to flying into offramps at 70+mph those days might be over for you, but for the 99% of the other time, just driving the AVONs deliver a very smooth and comfortable drive, which I almost thought I would never even be able to get from the G, while still handling quite well.
