Reset the ECU... it sounds like a shift from neutral problem to me. It's a do it while you sleep fix so it's worth a try.. right?

Sounds like your tranny is slipping in 1st gear. I'd let the dealer do a complete checkup.

Follow the transmission fluid check procedure in your owner's manual. If the level is low, top of with the correct fluid (available at the dealer only). If the fluid level is OK, take your car to the dealer. Do not do an ECU reset. The transmission, just like the engine, has sensors that provide input to the computer system with error codes. If you reset, you will erase the fault codes and the dealer will not be able to fix whatever is wrong with your transmission. I have the service manual and the automatic transmission section is 220 pages long.

Definitely shouldn't be much of a lag between hitting the gas and taking off.

Check the fluid....(don't lose the locking bolt that holds the d/s in). Make sure it's warm to check (not hot).
You could try an ECU/TCU reset overnight, It won't hurt anything to do so.-- (Battery disconnect 12 hrs.)

Let the dealer do a scan to find the issue.
