ipod / passport X50 install *PICS*
That pic was taken right after the install, I have since hidden the wire better. Because of the case I have on the iPod (iskin evo2), when it sits on the rolling drawer it doesn't move at all. The texture of the case is a very soft rubber, which makes me be able to take turns at 40mph and have it stay in one place. For long trips or when I'm not changing tracks, I can put it inside the armrest and you cant even see the cable.
As for the install, It took me about 4 hours, mainly because it was like 100 degres with about 65% humidity and it was my first time taking apart the dash, so as you can imagine I was being very careful not to scratch or break anything. I feel I could do the same install again in less than 2 hours now that I know how everything comes apart.

how much did the ipod setup cost? btw, i like your x50 job it looks very nice. only thing i can see as a potential problem is if you want to take it out. i did mine in a way that the wires are hidden and i can remove it when needed. i'll show you a pic of it, looks pretty nice. also moving the radar detector up as high as possible gives it the best detection capability (from valentines site)

oh and plus, the way i have it mounted, ifff for some reason i get pllued over, all i have to do is calmly put the sunroof visor down, and voila the radar detector disappears..if anyone is interested, i'll post pictures tomorrow when its light out and can take them..
