I drive 50/50 on flat Texas roads and get 21-22 MPG... Oh yea, I also redline my car everyday....but only once or twice a day. I run 93 octane and use M1. Also, nothing in the car but me and some insurance things...

In CA our highest is 91 and I get 300 to the tank. That's side streets for most of the commute. btw...what's the gas prices at your place? You're looking at $2.73 for 91 over here.

Are you doing accurate mileage checks -- ie. miles driven/gallons pumped in?
You can't rely on the accuracy of the gas gauge, especially when it says empty.
Hopefully your mileage is better than that.

nope i do amount of miles drive on the tank divided by 18..

250/18 gets you under 14mpg

there is no 91 in jersey, it goes 87, 89, 93

I fill up with 93 for ~$2.55

That's odd...my g35 coupe has a 20 gal (US) tank...thought that was the norm..

30% Hard
60% Normal

Navi still said I had 20 miles more to go till empty both times as well.

I get about 18 mpg in city driving. Last week I drove 406 miles on the interstate at a constsnt 80 mph and consumed 16.13 gallons. 25.2 mpg.
Completely fill the tank each time and use the gallons from the pump.

Why 18? Is that how many gallons you pump in at fillup? That amount sounds like an estimation.

Like Gsedanman says. Reset trip odo at fill up. See how many miles you go until your next fill up. Take miles on odo and divide by gallons pumped in. Most accurate way.

I do that and I get between 19.5 and 20.1 mpgs.

I'm presently getting a tad under 22 mpg, mostly country roads. I expect my mileage will improve once I get the engine broken-in. 93 Octaine is $2.499 a gallon in northern MD. I expect it will go up to $3 a gallon before the end of the year.

I'm getting about 25 consistantly driving in Vermont roads... I got 19-20 when I was in Houston driving around. I like my acceleration too. My car is at 12k miles and has been getting better and better about gas milage as it got towards this point. I doubt I will continue to see that happen but give your car some time and it may get better.
