You can say that 04 18"s are better than 05 19"s (as I think so too), BUT you cant say that 04 is better than 05 based on only that.
actually i was using the rim issue as an example to make a point that these little annual tweaks aren't always aesthetic improvements.Originally Posted by G35_coupe_6MT
You base your "new is not always best" just because of rims? For your information #1 Rims can be changed easily #2 You can get an 05 with 18" #3 Rims dont make the car good/bad... think about the interior of the 05 and then the 04... If there were an 04 vs 05 interior thread, I am sure that there would be MANY more people voting for the 05 than there are people on that thread you posted voting for the 04's rim.You can say that 04 18"s are better than 05 19"s (as I think so too), BUT you cant say that 04 is better than 05 based on only that.
as for the "04 is better than 05" point, i dunno where you got that. i clearly stated that the 05 interior is an improvement over the 04. and i own an 05, so that makes no sense. i think you completely misread the post, but that's ok. literacy levels in this country are achingly bad so i'm not surprised.

Nowhere in this thread, besides just now, did you say that 05's interior was better or that you had one. I did not read the other thread completelly, so if you said it there, I skipped it. Thing is, you were trying to say that new isnt always better where a more accurate sentence would have been "change is not alwasy better." BTW, I am not American so if literacy levels lower in that country, I'm not affected by it.

Yeah and they changed the final drive ratio on the ATs back to the 05 number, at first it was listed as the same as the 6MT. But they still the MT listed as 6AT lol.Originally Posted by dblackwood

G35driver users pat yourselves on the back. I contacted Infiniti about the possible errors pointed out by forum members at G35driver. Infiniti clearly paid attention and is now probably reading this thread as I type....

SportZEditor - the Infiniti website links for the hi-rez pix arent working. the link is incorrect the word "colour" should be changed to "color" for the link to work.

bumper looks like crap. Agreed it is too happy and not the frowning menace it needs to be. The domes on the tail lamps remind me of a mercury cougar POS. The spoiler does look unfinished, like they hacked off the whale tail. Head lamps look like an after thought, though I do like projectors, I'd rather keep the clearance strip. Speaking of clearance strip, the chrome lines in place of the clearance strip looks cheap and tacky. YUK!

What I would update my ride with are:
- headlights (much better than current ones, l like it that the amber lenses are gone)
- spoiler (at last what a spoiler should be - it should be visible when you look at the car from the rear. The cueernt one you can even see from the front - wide ugly-*** fin)
- the inteligent key
The new bumper an taillights really suck. They are going more in a Hyunday direction.
