Removing Spare Tire
I would seriously doubt it. I don't think it weighs that much to matter. It's probably the same difference between a full tank of gas and an empty one. Mayb it'll give you better times at the track. I wouldn't really recommend it cuz well... you mite get a flat and need it.

There is a big thing people forget when they talk about taking the rear tire out. The rear tire, in addition to wieght balance and convience, is a safety feature. Not if you get a flat, but if you get rear-ended. The tire is placed in such a way as to absorb some impact. You never know when you're going to get into an accident, especially rear ended. Leave it in there, it's about 45 lbs. When you think about in reference to other things, a gallon of gas (at about 72 degrees) is 6 pounds, so a full tank is about 120 lbs, golf bag with clubs is about 25-30 lbs, a buddy in your car is 185 lbs, a fat chick from the bars because it was last call and nothing else was left....you get the idea

The conventional spare is more like 50 lbs. and would have more of an effect.
