F#($ Pulled OVer Need Advice PLEASE!
I was being really stupid last night and speeding. Havent been speeding at alll for about 4 weeks now and had the urge just come over me. For those familiar with it, i was going from the 2 freeway to the 134 and its got a pretty sick banked turn that goes into it. I was taking that at about 85-90 and as soon as the turn ends, i see freakin CHP hauling *** behind me. Freakin got pulled over and she put 90+. def not possible to go over 90 on that turn. Now im screwed, i already have a ticket for 90 on my record from about 8 months ago. Now I read on www.ticketassassin.com that you can do a written declaration and plead not guilty. THe cop has to write a declaration too but does not get paid for it like they do for showing up to court. Any advice on this? also im 18 yrs old (car is under my name and all, i paid for it) but i dont want my dad to know, and don't want it on my record...any advice guys? thanks

)papagz: When you are 18, you think that you are indestructable. If I were the judge I'd suspend your license for 90 days to give you time to reflect about driving being a privilege and not a right.
funny thing...tickets always come in chunks. when i was 21, i got three within a 3 month span....no tickets prior and none ever since (knock on wood).
but, you may want to talk to a lawyer. if you take it to court and see the judge, you're going to get slammed (just to warn you). judges don't take this lightly since it's TWO speeding tickets for doing 90 mph. good luck and SLOW DOWN!!!!

The best help I can give you is to tell you to FUKIN SHRINK THE SIG YOU HAVE! I have 1600x1200 resolution and I still feel bothered by the huge crap you have as sig.
p.s. Hope your dad finds out about the ticket.

Insurance rates are covered by his co. which include a few other cars so well see what happens with that. Id rather not take it to a judge and do a written declaration trial.
As for thinking im indestructable, honestly, about a year ago, I used to think like that. But as you get older you realize your not, you can't help the urge to punch it once in a while and the speed of the G doesnt help it so much.
G35 coupe thanks for the kind words but don't tell me you have NEVER sped in your life. People make mistakes, and some recognize and admit them, some don't. I have, I am just asking for some advice on how to take it from here. I dont need people telling me to slow down, when I already know that ya know?
Ketch, what is defensive driving course? can you explain further?

you must be a slow learner then because that's TWO 90 mph tickets in a few months
but no one is lecturing you, dude. they're just saying to slow down and be safe.

Be sure to join this if you get pulled over that many times...$1,800 but worth it.

I always gun it at that turn (2N to 134W right?)...but in no way have I even reached the numbers you talk about....the posted speed limit on that turn is like 25mph I think...the most I have taken it was like 45-50? I know it could do much more, but not the numbers you speak of unless it was the 2S to 134W turn...then yea I see your point. I have had 2 friends spin and crash/flip thier cars on both of these turns...becareful as there is sometimes water from the sprinklers.
2N to 134W is too tight for 85 - 90, 2S to 134W is better but that is still pushing it. She probably thought she was doing 90 and was po'd that you were pullling away. Wish I had been there to see it.

I've taken 2N to 134E going fairly fast. But you never know when there might be a stalled car in the lane around the corner. Even if your car can take the turn, you have to be prepared to stop for those kinds of emergencies. If you take a freeway transition going 90, I guarantee that you won't be able to stop in time.
Keep in mind other people, like my dad, take those freeways to get to work, etc. You don't want to take someone's life trying to push your car around those blind corners.

we've all done 90 mph before, it's just you really need to be careful.
To Ketch, you need your licsence taken away. 2 speeding tickets in 3 days? Are you kidding me? There is no excuse for getting that many tickets at such a young age. I know you want to "rip up the freeway" but in all honesty, you will kill yourself. I, and a lot of other people on these boards (who are older) have known at least 1 person killed due to speed and stupid acts. Don't be that person everyone remembers and learns from.
PS...tickets are the last of your worries, when you get a vehicular manslaughter case against you for doing 110mph on the freeway thinking you're cool as $hit.

I'm a prosecutor in New York, so I know what you're talking about. However, I can only respond to how NY laws enable you to request a supporting deposition. Some forms of traffic tickets include a box on the back to check to request a supporting deposition on the full nature of the charges. This is insignificant for the most part because you were there and know how it went down. However, in that supp dep, you'll likely find important info like the make, model and serial number of the lazer/radar unit that got you or you'll get the id of the car that paced you. This will then allow you to check into maintenance logs and such for trial.
ADDITIONALLY - and this is where it gets important.....in NEW YORK, if the supp dep is not responded to within 30 days, the defendant may make a motion to dismiss the tickets.
Now keep in mind that I've seen VERY VERY few cops not respond and when they don't, its usually an important case that they're fukking up for me. (DWI, reckless driving with accident, etc) So, look into that and if you can request it. Oh yeah, just remember, if you're in a jurisdiction that pleas down speeds to lower speeds, if you request a supporting dep, your cop is likely not going to consent to a reduction and you better be ready for trial.
Better yet, don't be a dumbazz and hire yourself an attorney to unfukk what you've gotten yourself into. Two words for you "insurance premium."
EDIT: I just saw in a later post that you mentioned a "written declaration trial." I should have realized that you live in that horrible trap called Kalifornia. Your laws and the way your courts function is an atrocity, but thats another story. Your best bet is NOT a written declaration, because you don't get to testify and present yourself to a judge (Administrative Law Judge.) Your best bet is a bench trial in front of the ALJ in whatever form of traffic violations bureau you guys have in Kali. Then again, your best bet is to hire an attorney and let him be smart for you.
