Big problem in my G today

I get out of publix and go to start up my car. All of a sudden as it starts the ses, vdc off and slip light all come on. To make matters worse the car would not accelerate hard at all and wouldn't go past 50 mph. I dropped it off at Infiniti tonight. I was hoping some of you could give me some insight as to what could be causing this. The only thing I did do today was fill it up with gas. That is when the trouble started later in the day. Yes, I used premium 93 at shell. Could a bad tank of gas cause this?
Thanks in advance,
Lips

Nah, it's not the gas. Another member had this problem...the dealer has to fix it. I think it was an ABS problem or VDC problem, something of that nature.

I guess that's good to hear, do you know how long it took them to fix it?

I had that exact problem (VDC, slip light on). It's scary having the car go into limp mode, especially in busy traffic driving home. I understand infiniti's idea behind it, of not damaging the engine, but it's freakin dangerous not being able to accelerate worth a damn.

In my case, it was a bum throttle body.

Wow . . . I trust Infiniti fixes your G in short time and it is nothing major.

For VDC OFF & SLIP light, I think it's an warning for a break fluid being low expecially for 03 and 04 models. For SES light, mine was a malfunction of an oxgen sensor so it CAN affect your acceleration if it miscalculates an amount of air and fuel.

mine had vdc light and slip light on, but it turned out to be the break sensor. when break sensor is not working right, the car keeps using vdc, slowing you down bc it thinks the cars gonna lose traction...

Haha good call, and my car is an 05 and I called once this morning and still no news. It is frustrating to say the least. Hopefully I will get it back today. I will keep everyone posted, but it seems that there are a couple possible problems that may cause this.

How long did it take them to fix it? Because if it is any longer then another day then I am definetly going to need a loaner.

My situation was a little different. That throttle body had been giving me a check engine light for the past 1 year. So I had already purchased another one off ebay. After I swapped the throttle bodies, the car runs perfectly now. So I didn't have the car at the dealer.

I just think that the limp mode is too dangerous to put suddenly on a driver considering that there are other cars on the road. At least let us accelerate as a slow-normal pace to get out of people's way, not super super super slow.....

Gotcha, I know what you mean though. I had to go full throttle in order to even move.
