Question Autocrosing and tracking an 05 6MT

Has anyone done much autocrossing or many track events with their 05? How did the brakes do and what pads did you run? I've been trying to find some aftermarket pads for the non-Brembos and haven't had much luck. It seems most places lump the 03-05s together and think they all have Brembos.

No Problem with Brembo's

I ran my first Track Day Sunday and I ran 5 heats of 10 laps each around a 1.5 min track. I had no problems with Brembos fading at all. Top speeds achieved were about 100mph.

No Problem Raceway

This weekend will be my first AutoX with my Falken RT-615 Tires.

I raced my 04 around Nurburgring lately and after 5 hard laps (73 turn circuit) my brembos started to fade and the rotors got bent a bit. After the next visit there (to kill the rotors) I'm changing to some performance slotted ones.

My 05 did fine, without any fade. Had 8-9 runs that day and they were 60-65 sec runs. Last part of the track required full braking from top of 2nd gear, so the brakes definitely got a test and they did great. They actually stopped much sooner than some of the vettes that were running.

i have ax 05 cp no problem. i did track day at tws yesterday and the rear brake pads melted after one session just like i saw on another post. i had oem rears to put back on that did a little better. Car did awsome w stillen sways and stock tires. I use to run 320 hp wrx. This is by no means as fast in the straigt but the handling was superb and the oem tires did great untill end of session and 96 degrees. I had no problem going through turns at 100mph. I think sways is a must for track set in middle ft/bk. No understeer at all and only had oversteer if i really wanted. Car went around track just like it looks, with style. I run advanced group and i enjoyed passing tail happy vetts and such

What sort of pads have people been using for track days in the non-Brembo equiped coupes. I ran Ferrodo DS3000s and Cobalt Spec VRs in my other cars, but haven't found these made for the non-Brembo cars. Once again it seems like almost everyone lumps the Brembo and non-Brembo cars together.
