Tranny flush killed my exhaust sound :(

After the flush it feels really good; shifts are smoother
Weird thing is though my sweet exhaust note is now greatly diminished. Sure I still get it if I rev high but its not as good as before
Ive noticed this with new Gs that they have a more subdued exhaust sound.
Any explanations?

The only factors that will affect the sound will be the speed of the air passing down the tube, the length, the shape, and mufflers in the tube. Flushing your tranny will have about the same affect on your exhaust sound, as will washing your car.

Is it possible that the flush changed the shift points?
Try disconnecting your battery over night, it will reset the ecu and the shift points will relearn themselves.
In other words, it might be shifting at lower rpm's.

I just reset my ECU; Ill test it out later today
Tranny flush cost $125 which isnt bad considering the damn fluid costs 10 bucks a quart

haha, great thread guys....
to me , the only way this happens is if the dealer fixed a leaky exhaust pipe while doing the tranny maintenance.
The mechanic probably found a loose flange bolt and tightened it (because he is an observant mechanic). There still are people around that care and go 'above and beyond'.

You guys, Nissan does a complimentary muffler bearing replacement and repack when they do transmission fluid flushing, that's why his exhaust sounds quieter. If'd you had them change your blinker fluid then your turn signals would be quieter too.
