Tranny flush killed my exhaust sound :(

30k on my G and I decided it was time for a tranny flush

After the flush it feels really good; shifts are smoother
Weird thing is though my sweet exhaust note is now greatly diminished. Sure I still get it if I rev high but its not as good as before

Ive noticed this with new Gs that they have a more subdued exhaust sound.

Any explanations?

I don't see how this is possible.

Flushing out the Tranny Fluid and your Exhaust Note...
That's like saying you took a **** and now your voice sound quieter.
Doesn't make sense...

Am i missing something here guys?

Same here...makes no sense to me...

Only thing I can come up with is that your tranny was roaring before and it made more sound. Or RPMs were held higher to get the car to move at low speeds?

I can only guess that your car is running smoother which means less vibration through the body which you may be mentally translating into quieter exhaust noise. Just a guess though.

I swear to whatever higher power there is that the exhaust note is not as loud and does not kick in until higher RPMs

Could the dealer have reset the ECU and could that have done it?
Different shift pattern with new fluid causing different revs then causing different sound?

I agree...it's likely in your head. Tranny oil and exhaust notes have no correlation in regards to sound

The only other consideration is that with the tranny flush there is less load / resistance from gunk in the tranny and now the engine is not working as hard.
