SWEET!! Got my windshield replaced for $230 (PICS)

They even came to my work, not bad compared to the $900 the dealer wanted...

What caused the damage?

Something hit me on the freeway..

I got it done by a small local autoglass company. Installation actually looked pretty easy....

Glad you got it taken care of for a good price. 230 is way better than 900!!

Sorry to hear about the glass. Got a crack from a rock the 2nd day I got my ryde. Found a glass repair shop from the yellowpages. They fixed the nickel sized crack perfect for only $40. They also quoted me a new windshield for only $210, with factory moldings. Check them out... http://www.safelite.com

please report back on who made the glass, should be printed on there.

let us know about the clarity. Any distortion? Does the top shaded part look OEM?

Yeah it would of been cheaper, had I taken my car to them. They charge $25 for mobile service...

Not sure who made it, I'll check when I get off work... Why? Are certain companies better than others?

Yeah the top shade looked identical. It even had that black square, where your rear view mirror connects to the glass.
