Any way to remove Highlight Lens Scratchs?

Hey guys, does anyone know of a way to remove scratches from the highlight glass (plastic)? I got hit with a rock on both lights, go figure , and one side is fairly deep and noticeable.

I have used it in the past. It works quite well.

If that doesn't work, you can wet sand with 2000 grit sandpaper then use a PC or CYCLO to polish out. After wet sanding, use a fairly abrasive polish then work your way down in steps to finer n finer polish. Then wax!

Would that work on the gauge glass cover too? I somehow got some nasty fine scratches on that.

Greate replies, thanks! I will first try the meguiar's stuff to get the minor stuff out. I think I'll buy a piece of plastic and try the wet sand idea to see if i'm able to produce an invisible sand job before I try my car. ( practice practice )

I did the invisible sand job on someone BABIEPHAT's headlight. CAme out great and the lens never looked better. The importantthingto remember is that you polish in stages. Start off with the least abrasive until you find the one that slowly gets the scratches out. Stay on that method until they are removed then use finer and finer abrasive methods to get the polish marks out. very easy to buff out with a machine, just watch the heat build up.

Diesel1 - the scratch/gouge on my left light is about 5mm in diameter and it's a circle shape, but it's about 1-2mm deep. That was from a rock. I'm concerend that I won't be able to sand that deep. You think it will still be sandable?
