I Got Into An Accident with My Coupe Downtown Chicago

So, I just recently got some good news from my parents and they told me that I got a new apartment for college. Everything was going great, I had just gotten some furniture and everything to design my new home in downtown Chicago. Well, I kept calling the pizza place to order some food for an hour but they were constantly busy. So I decided that I was gonna go and get something to eat at Portillos in the heart of downtown. Well im pulling out and im at the light on dearborn. As I first started excelerating off the light, a guy in a silver m3 behind traffic going about 70 blows past everyone cutting everyone off across 4 lanes. The guy to my left was about a foot from hitting a nissan morano. Well it gets even better. The guys about to rear end me at 70 miles an hour cause he couldnt control his car. I swerve out of the way and I find myself in the path of a Semi parked on the side of the street that was delivering furniture. I knew I was gonna crash so I slammed on the brakes and I nail the back clipping of the truck. My right fender and bumper both cracked and were pretty messed up. I was really upset because I take care of my car so much and my parents always see that and respect that. They said that since I care for my things so much and I have never complained that I shouldnt worry, I should be glad rather that I didnt get hurt. In turn they told me that I should order whatever I wanted to fix my car along with something else just to put a smile on my face after everything happened. Immediatly the next morning I reordered a Top Secret Front Bumper, INGS fenders, the JS Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood, and the KEnstyle Side Skirts. I know a bunch of you have seen my car in the past and I won 1st at the first g35 Invitational in Chicago so I was really depressed. I wont be able to go to the meet this sunday that I was looking forward to but I cant wait for the future ones. Today im at orientation at school starting college as a freshman in a new city, and a new environment that I gotta get used to. My dad gave me one of the trucks that im driving around and I cant complain its actually really fast. Its a 4.8 liter BMW x5, and for some reason it seems to pick up faster than the G, and I have no idea why haha. Ill post up some pictures soon!! BTW tell me if I got a deal. Im paying 2,400 for a top secret front end, ings fenders, kenstyle sides, black clear corners, and a js seibon carbon fiber hood as long as tein springs. Then the paint everything im only paying for the labor not the paint because its my Godfathers shop. So everythings coming out to about 2,700 is that good?

soory to hear that bro. Accidents do happen. The bright side is that you didnt get hurt and after all... its just a car. As much as i am **** about it. I know certain things can be replaced such as a car.

besides sounds like your parents are treating you to a few extra mods... so i wouldnt complain about something like that. Lastr time i joked around with my dad saying hey when you gonna get me something... he whiped out $10 bucks and said buy yourself something nice. I'm 28 with a job.. so i dont really need anything but it was still funny.

Wow, sounds like someone is a little spoiled mommies boy. You should have just crashed into him harder, maybe they would have bought you a turbo kit.

Well GBousis,
What does a brand new apartment, driving an X5 and you treating your car well have to do with your accident in town? If your comment was to ask wether you got a good deal on those parts then just ask that. GET to the point. And your story of an M3 driving 70mph?...... I'm Canadian so i don't know much about MPH scaling... but and last time i read that on my odometer... well it's kinda a little too bull$hit considering it's a city road with traffic..... But it's your story so you're entitled to say whatever the heck you like. I'm just saying don't expect people not to say things if you every other sentenct you're writing relates to $$$. And the fact that your AIM handle is "Privilaged4ever" isn't helping your image either...

Take it as it is... just a suggestion.

Just ignore some of the jealous ****** on this forum. If their rents bought them something when they were young... $hit they'd take it in a heartbeat.

But at the same time...I hope that you appreciate your stuff....an 18-19 year old driving a BMW 4.8 X5...do you know how ridiculous that sounds??? haha...anways sorry about your accident and I hope all goes well with you. And hopefully...you deserved all the stuff you got (whether it is being a good kid or getting good grades...etc)

Also, some advice -- take it or leave it: If you see you are about to be rear-ended, do not swerve or anything unless you are positive you are clear. If you swerve and hit something, it's your fault. If you sit there and take it, it's the other driver's fault. So unless you think you would be seriously injured (as may have been if this guy was going 70) just sit there and take it. Same thing with dogs -- don't swerve, just run the f*ckers over.

AWW....flightz thinks you deserved it!!!..and he doesn't even know you...thats really cute. Growing up, I was "spoiled" by my parents, but I didn't go bragging to everyone, pretending if i'm asking if i'm getting a good deal from a person of my own family....

If your parents truly loved you, they would've bought you an E46 M3.
BTW, I love Portillos...well, I don't love the food that much, but I love the fact that it's 2 blocks away from me and the drive thru is open late!

Sorry to hear about your accident. I trust you did not receive any injuries. However, you might have simply gotten to your point, as mentioned, and you would not be reading the ill comments.

Good luck!
