I hear you on the estimate but I dropped the pads off and told him to not replace the rotors thinking that the entire charge would be around $150. What can I do at this point?
Wow, I'd expect new rotors including pads and labour for that kind of $$$, even if they are Brembos. Sounds like they jacked you. (yes I know Brembos are more, but you get the point)
What I would do is go back and give them a chance to correct a 'billing error'. -- (yeh right. , well you know, just in case)

Then I would explain what i've learned here about pricing and that you're not happy at all.....GRRRRRR-- perhaps they'll concede that they overcharged.

If you don't get any joy after talking to the service manager, and his boss, then tell them you'll take it further. (BBB) In the meantime, you'll go elsewhere for service, and your friends and family will too.
A mention of your 30k friends at G35Driver.com wouldn't hurt either.

A suggestion: It's prudent to talk 'warranty', 'time', and 'money' b4 the trip in to the shop.-- (in writing is best)
I think you've learned a valuable lesson.

None the less, I wish you luck with the followup. Let us know how it goes, and try to stay cool.
C.

Agreed on getting a written estimate from now on. I thought I had it convered when I said 'install these pads and I don't want new rotors'.

I will let everyone know how it goes - btw, they are a boston dealer that has a poor rep around here.
