Emanage is way better than split second! ATI has had it's issues but it has it's own oil supply (doesn't tap into the stock oil pan) and both systems really need a GOOD TUNER to get full potential out of them.

Vortech is a little safer and a little less expensive, but only being able to tune cells at 500, 1000, 1500... rpm's really SUCKS!

Anyone know the deal with the R5 rumored software?

He's referring to the software used to tune the Vortech system. It's made by Split Second and it's called R4 software. It uses an Excel-like spreadsheet format and displays "cells" that allow your tuning perimeters to be set in blocks of 500RPM.

On a side note, anyone tuning by RPM and NOT boost is just leaving power on the table. You CAN be at 4000RPM and NOT under boost. If you are tuning by RPM and have the software pull a degree of timing for every 1000 RPM, you're pulling 4 degrees of timing on a STOCK motor, essentially. Be sure to have your car tuned by BOOST and NOT RPM.

So if you dropped the cash for a stillen-- with the hood. You would have no lag.

I'd like to not have lag from 0-3krpms personally.-- And the hood looks pretty sweet on BO =)

Guys really you talk about lag like its some terrible thing...And any more its better to talk about it as throttle response. But also its not like we have small displacement 4cyl motors...We are pushing a good amount of power off the bat, and the car should be like a rocket ship once you start forcing a little more air into the motor.
