a rev limiter is something in the computer system which won't let you just floor your car in neutral and blow up the engine.

 

^u still can blow up the enigne like that.. limiter or not lol

your talking about a shift light.. that is nothing more then a light you set to come on at a certain RPM.. the limiter is a switch built into the ECU to cut off fuel (bad, no no) for the car once it reaches a certain RPM to prevent the idiot behind the wheel from doing something stupid, in our case its at like 7,200something
