Do the 6 speeds have rev limiter's?
i just redlined it past 7000rpm yestarday by accident, nothing happened, im sure theres a rev limiter according to the magazine reviews. but its probably a bit higher than 7000.
Ok good, bc i misshifted in a race because it seems you have to SLAM the shifter into second. So i let out the clutch, and floored it thinking i was in gear and it just redlined.
But good thing there's a rev limiter

Note that this limit is electronic - not mechanical. There is nothing to prevent over-revving in the event of a mechanical mishap (such as errant shifting). For example, if you shift from 3rd to 2nd while at redline in 3rd your engine will over-rev. This is because the rate at which the drivetrain is spinning will push the engine RPMs above the redline. The only way to prevent this would be to use some sort of mechanical rev-limiter that would slow or disengage the driveline components (like disengaging the clutch or applying the breaks). It's doubtful that any sort of mechanical limiter would be safe or effective so, for now, cars limit the amount of mechanically-related over-revving you can do by blowing the engine.

like someone said earlier the rev limiter is only electrical.
there's nothing that can defy the laws of physics. dont' think that your car won't overrev and break something if you shift into too low of a gear at too high of a speed. just a warning.
