2006 G35 Coupe..Can u believe that!! I hate my G now
#18
I have been holding off on buying a G waiting for the 06 to come out. Now I am a little worried, not because I don't like the changes, I think they are pretty subtle and for the most part attractive, except I still love the Ironing board spoiler.
My biggest concern is not being able to add on an existing body kit with the new side molding and front bumper changes. I really like the INGS + 1 kit, but I am concerned that kits made for 03-05 are made for the "flatter" surfaces on the side sills and front bumper. Any idea if the existing kits will be able to fit on the new bumper and sides? I also wonder if the BAT overlays will have to be redesigned to fit over the new bubbled tail lights.
I just hate to buy a 06 if the old kits wont fit, because who is going to spend money to redesign their kits for 06 when a major redesign is coming for 07.

I like the new spoiler much more so than 03-05 version but I HATE the new front bumper.
The headlights are ugly... projectors or not... i miss the clearance strip personally.
Bluetooth would be nice as would the seatbelt holders, but all in all i think they made it look less agressive. .
Also, the rear taillights look 'cheaper' imo.

Wtf ? ! ? !
I have a 2005 G35 coupe and love it. I've only made very minor modifications most of which you cant even see (Invisible Ultra Shield, Anit-Sway Bars, Replaced Speakers, Added Stealth Sub and Amplifier). I just do NOT see what the big deal is with the 2006. I can afford to trade, but I see nothing on the new G that makes me want to trade my car in. I'm waiting for a MAJOR redesign (if it even happens), and even if it does happen it probabliy wont be til 2007 or 2008.

Do you hate your computer too? Because there's faster and better stuff out for it every minute.
I'm happy with my 2003. But if you want something better on your car, then swap it out.
I had the regular single piston sliding calipers. Wasn't thrilled with them. Solution: changed them to brembos and stoptech rotors.
I wasn't happy with the reflector headlights.
Solution: put in projectors
I wasn't happy with the clunky looking AT shfiter.
Solution: swapped in M45 shift **** and boot.
I thought that the stock cast 18" were too heavy.
Solution: put on 350z forged track rims.
See, you just have to have some imagination, and you'll get your car to the way you like it.
