Heated Seats - A Mind of Their Own
Mine is the same way but I'm thinking it's just natural body heat because when you actually do turn that thing on it's scortching hot!
But yea... I've caught myself checking at least a dozen times to make sure that my seat heaters weren't on because it was so hot.
I think my favorite thing to do on a good long drive with a friend in the passenger seat is to turn their heat warmers on and hope they don't notice until their butt's on fire

Took my G to the dealer and they told me nothing was wrong with the seats. They, supposedly, looked at all the wiring to find a short and found nothing. I'm starting to wonder if the seats are (too) good at retaining heat even when the heater isn't on.

Brought mine in today but they were "unable to duplicate the problem". The service guy told me that the seat BOTTOM is the only part that heats up. I feel the heat in my lower back from the seat back. According to the service manual, BOTH parts heat up. Getting a little frustrated because the seat gets so uncomfortably hot after only a few minutes driving. Could the seat back material really be retaining and radiating my own body heat so efficiently?
Anyways, I got my oil changed, a new seat bracket (seat rocking back and forth), and a new fuel sending unit (gauge never read "full") so the day wasn't totally wasted.
