I currently have 27K on my car and have the original michelin pilot sport tires ... i cant afford to change them all now so i'm just not driving as much until the end of the month when i will change all 4 of them. The quote i got from www.discounttires.com is abut 1000 for all 4 after dealers diso**** (couz of the place i used to work at). Try tirerack.com they have good deals too.

Yes having a diferent pair in front from the rears is a problem. When I got my PS2's, the rears came in first. Since my rear Perelli's were showing the steel belting, I had them replaced. The front did not come in for another week. I had to take my brother home to Paso Robles, and he lives back in the canyons. Any way, Taking those turns with the two diferent tires really showed the difference in the tires and greatly effected the handling of the car.

Later,

Ray

I ended up getting only one Mich Sport for the rear. The discount tire guy told me that the other rear tire is still new (9/10 tread wear remaining). It cost me $245 +tx. The ride feels better now, somehow.

I found a used pair(rear) Piltot 2 for $80 balanced and installed...tread seemed to be 80% good...I have put 18k on them and it seems like they might last longer than the originals(put to rest at 25k)........the shop I went to had 2 stacks(10 pairs) of these tires all in the same condition....I should have bought atleast 2 more

I highly endorse the ES 100's and have had them on my Prelude for over 20K miles. They are not noisy and handle great in the wet and dry. The sidewall is very stiff. Do not even think about using them in the snow though.

The tread wear has been very even and I am near the end of the life for the tires. I expect about 28 to 30K, which I expected. It is a high performance tire and pretty soft tread. I have also been pretty aggressive with them.

I may get flamed for this but I guess I don't mind...this needs to be said. I don't understand how anyone can buy a car like this then worry about the price of tires. I think Michelin is the best tire there is. I appreciate that Infiniti uses them on this car. Infiniti is not Lexus or Mercedes but it is still considered high end...which is derserving of the best. If the cost of high performance tires is an issue, buy a car that doesn't need them. It's that easy.

There, that isn't too bad...it's real.
Also, I have been using high performance wheels/tires longer than most people. I'm in my 40's and have been doing this since I was a kid. Mis matching tires is not wise. You can ignore it but that doesn't make it right.

since we're in the tire topic...i have a question regarding it. has anyone ever used wider tires for both front & rear? at least in the front, it just seems like that 225 isn't wide enough mounted on the stock 19s. i think once my tires need replacement, i might just go 245/f & 275/r. anyone ever do that?

I paid $1540 for four Pilot Sport PS/2 19's. Great riding, handling, looking tire. I think it is worth it.
