I heard that you can get the Passport 8500 for ~$160 with the replacement plan

I used to work at best buy 4 years ago and should have picked it up Please lemme know if u could hook it up

 

I dont know about that. Best Buy employee discounts aren't all that considerable, and are nowhere near 50% discounts. If so, I'd buy about 20, sell them all on eBay, and profit the differences.

If you can afford a G, you can afford a radar detector....

 

Doubt anyone will risk their job to buy something for a stranger. I know that their car audio stuff is severely marked up to, including radar detectors. It is probably about 50% off retail..

i would think that bestbuy monitors what each employee purchases. so, if he/she is purchasing more than two of the same radar detector (or whatever), it's going to raise some flags that he/she may be buying for other ppl or to sell. honestly, just go on ebay. you can probably purchase it for $250-275. that's only a bit more than with the employee discount purchase, which would not include any warranties/returns/exchanges either since he's selling it to you "under the table".
