Killer squirles! Serpentine system help?

So.. today wasn't such a good day. I decided I would run my G through the car wash after work. Its one of those automatic ones ( I was lazy ). I pull up to it, pay and pull in. I sit there for a few minutes while it does its thing, then when it is done I start my car and go to pull out. Well, I could tell when I was pulling out that I was a little too far to the right. I kinda turned the wheel a little bit to get over and my steering was really hard. Right then I felt my rear wheel scrape the rail. I about pooped.. literally. I thought for a second it might be something else so I got out and went to see what had happened. My Volk SF-Challeng was F'd. Half of the lip is destroyed. Well, not destroyed but it's hella messed up. So I was so worried about that I didn't really think about my steering problem. I dried my car off and went to get back into the car so I could take it home and then I realized my power steering wasn't working. Also, the battery light was on and so was the brake light. I drove it home like that and when I got looking at a few things I noticed the belt had came off. I couldn't believe that it would just come off like that or break becuase my car only has 8k miles on it. So.. I get out a drop light and look a little more and here is what I found.

So.. does anyone know how to put the serp belt back on the power steering and alternator?

Looks like a fox squirrel. They like to get into warm places like engine bays. They also have a tendency to chew up wiring harnesses.

damn thats kinda funny and sad at the same time .... man thats why I never go into those automated car washes, waaay to scared for my rims and everything else .... I did it once when I had my previous 03 5at and scraped one of my rims and that was the end of it. Dont be lazy, just spend that hour every 2 weeks or so and your G will love you for it.

Haha yeah for real. I was actually really pissed until I found out it was just a thrown belt. I really thought that something was seriously wrong. And, I've learned my leason with those car washes. The belt is still good, I just can't figure out how to get it back on. There has to be some adjustment somewhere.

Get another one of them critters. I heard that one of them harnessed to your engine is worth an extra 15rwhp.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I trust you got the belt back on.

Yeah, finally. I had to look at alldata first though. There is an adjuster / tensioner bolt under one of the pulleys. You have to get under the car to loosen it though. It's the smooth pulley btw. Hopefully this will help someone some day.
