when the gas light comes on in our car, how many miles can we go? I'm sure it says it in the manual somewhere but i lost my manual. Consider driving only 70 mph too. Thanks for your answers.

 

depends on how you drive, but i'd put in gas before 25-35miles.

so figure 15-20 mpg so 30-40miles.

please dont drive using reserve (with the light on) your driving on the GUNK left in the gas tank.

It definitely depends on how you drive but I can get about 60-80 miles after my light comes on

 

I believe the light comes on with 2 to 3 gallons remaining in the tank. To be on the safe side, assume two and multiply it by the gas mileage you expect. If you are in stop and go traffic, you better find a station within 30 miles.
