Your tach is SUPPOSE to be on the right (or the inner side of your car). Nissan is lazy and just left it like that. If we had JDM G35s aka Skyline the tach will be on the inner side (correct side) and all the IMPORTANT A/C and Navi controls will be on the driver side..

if u dont have a red line i'll trade u clusters with some $ or keep downshifting to 8k and when u blow the motor tell infiniti u never got a redline lol

we also have a shift light

Tachs on Hondas and Toyotas are always on the left...there is no real "true" side...maybe Infiniti is trying to stay with the game...

but most of their cars are made right hand drive before ours.. just easyer to keep your eyes on the center of the road with the tach closer to the middle..

lol doesnt really matter tho, onlything i'm complaining about is the a/c controls.. their so far.. that or i ahve short arms ._.

NO WAY, the guages in the 05 turned me off, with that little ring around the dial, reminds me of my moms old caddy, especially those little Altima AC controlls on the center stack; oh yeah, after the 3rd hard stop the brakes suck too, I couldnt deal with all that, cancelled my 05 order and bought the 04.5... NO REGRETS... The 06 kinda looks funny too.

^ the 06 and 05 dash is the same. I really dont know how you can say the 04's are better than the 05's as the 04's are PLAIN. A little bit more, and they would have been monochrome. Everything is so STRAIGHT and I mean, it seems they just put it there for function, not to make the interior look better.

You said it all right there, "Function", no frills, plain on black leather (yeah I know it's graphite)... To each his own, if I wanted a pretty panel I would have bought a Jaguar... The 04 dash & center stack looks tough (and yeah, we know the stack is plastic). 03-04 Panel looks real good to me!

Let's take a vote and see the results???

Sorry to hear you had a bad 05 experience Now it almost sounds like you are saying that ashtangaz2001 is a liar Now for the brakes sucking, take a look at this thread:

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/66605-05-braking-power.html

I've been stoping pretty hard all day (although non to a dead stop like I did there) and I didn't feel any fading. Hell, even G35_tx did it 10 times and didn't feel it, which makes me wonder if you bought a lemon. Also, how can you cancel an order and be able to stop 3 times hard? Was this a loaner car or something? I'm a bit confused there. But really, I think it is all a matter of opion as to what clusters you like better though. I personally feel the 03-04 clusters look to plain for my tastes. It actually reminded me of my '92 Isuzu Rodeo that I wrecked (wasn't my fault) before I got the G35.

Wow you must be really blind to say that 04's interior looks better...

04
vs
05

AND

04
vs
05

Interior alone made me trade in the 04 for the 05. NO CONTEST AT ALL the 05 is better. Plastic VS Metal? That's a NO BRAINER.

For those that have not seen the 05 interior up close... the controls on the steering wheel are illuminated (unlike 04) and it has orange stitching and perforated leather on the horizontal areas (like the Ferrari Enzo).

lol like the enzo. man u should drive other cars. even my girl's SER Spec-V has the stitching(red) and perforated horizontals on the steering wheel. and acuras/hondas have those. but the 05, more than the 04, reminds me more of her SER's dash though.
