I have a 5AT, and they say that limited slip differential comes with the Performance Tire and Wheel Package. Is there a way to verify this? I got this right off Infiniti's website:

Performance Tire and Wheel Package
• 18-inch 7-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels
• 225/45R18 (front)and 245/45R18 (rear) W-rated performance tires
• Limited-slip rear differential
• Additional titanium-tinted interior trim

Standard on G35 Coupe Leather 6MT Model.

 

Will be hard to spin just one wheel.
Put one wheel on some gravel, other on pavement and GENTLY apply some throttle. Should be little or no spin.
Also when the car's up on the hoist, leave the tranny in Neutral so the back wheels can move. When one wheel is turned the other should follow the same way. If no LSD, the opposite wheel should go in opposite direction.
Used to be that way, anyway... not sure about now.

I have the peformance package. Back in the winter, my seat of the pants feel could feel the LSD doing its job. One wheel would start to slip a bit and you could feel the torque kick to the other side.

What I can't verify is wether this LSD is electronic or mechanical. I feel that it is mechanical, but I have no evidence to support this.

 

lsd is a differential there for mechanical

but you also have vdc which some people might consider a "electronic lsd"(but its not)
