Can't seem to figure out common functions
Sup guys, Please go easy on me I have a couple of real basic questions. I bought my 04 coupe used so I didnt exactly get the walk around and the manual doesnt even seem to answer simple questions like this. My first question a couple weeks ago was the foggy back window issue, I figured I was using the rear defroster correctly but it was working so horribly I had to post here only to confirm that all you do is hit the obvious button on the dash shaped like the rear window.
My first question is, does this work horrid? I mean I sat in my car for 5min without a hint of help i just grabbed a rag and did the deed myself. Also what do you guys suggest for the fog on the windshield, do I just hit the windshield shaped button and thats it? I dont need to raise the temp or anything? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-Thanks

I had a real roblem with this the other day...I had the air conditioner blasting on the front window at full blast, because nothing else worked to get rid of the fog, but it didn't go away, eventually I turned everything off and rolled the window down slightly (it had been raining) and it all cleared up..i think the secret is to find a good balance between inside and outside temps...
The rear window just use your window defoger button. It's not going to work instantly you have to be patient and wait for it to work. The front windshield this is on every manual on any car. The trick is to blast the windshield with your AC on and temp at the highest heat position. You will see ones the heat gets going it will clear the fog. Works everytime for me even with the most humid weather.

I find the rear defroster to work slowly on the G as well; not sure if it is due to the antenna embedded in the window. In any case, depending on conditions, the rear window takes 5 to 15 minutes to START defrosting. The windshield is better since you can control both temperature, and more importantly, the fan speed. The windshield usually starts to clear within a few minutes but the rear takes longer.
Just use the RainX wipes on the inside of the front windows. They have an anti-fog wipe that works very well.
BTW, when it's super humid in FL there is NOTHING you can do to get the front windshield to defrost. NOTHING I say!
