Your reasoning is correct.

I also have an AT, and I think the brake pedal "sucks" not the location of it but the mechanics, it should self dis-engage itself when you put the car in drive. On several instances when I first got the car, I would put it on, forget about it, come back the stereo would be on hi, I would forget about the brake and just drive away. The squeeling noise is only heard if the music is down. It's a good thing that the warranty replaced all the brake pads within the 1st year as I would of had learned an expensive lesson. Now I make a habit of checking it's location with my left foot prior to leaving.

In the only AT car I've owned, I always used to use the e-brake...95% of the time...

Why should it self dis-engage? You should remember to put it down

It should SELF disengage when you put the car in drive so you don't have to remember, just like most US built cars. Also the driverseat on the older models should have a memory setting so you don't have to remember either.

I trust you remember to stop upon approaching red stop lights. Most important of all . . . Wipe your A$$ prior to flushing. You don't want unsightly stains on your seats. However, that warm fuzzy feeling will remind you. So, scratch the last comment.

Go buy a US built car than and quit posting trash on our forums. Don't get upset because you admitted to being too stupid to remember to wipe your ***.

mc2, based on meeeeow's ability to remember simple procedures upon entering a car and prior to driving the same . . . I would venture a guess that meeeeow's I.Q. is somewhat equivalent to his/hers shoe size.

What do you think?

Oh don't flatter him. It all depends on what size shoe he wears.

hrm... about the whole 4 pedals on the floor thing.....

My 2003 S-10 Xtreme 5 speed had 4 pedals on the floor....

Ebrake | Clutch | Brake | Gas

that was a BIATCH. No dead pedal and it feels so unsafe. I was always so afraid of slamming the ebrake in going to shift......
